A doctor falls in love with his patient, a beautiful tennis star who has just been diagnosed with a condition from which she could die if she doesn’t have an operation. Jennifer Gayle, who has a “not really a softcore actress” look about her, plays Christy Redford, a tennis superstar diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. Her doctor, Dr. Thomas Freeman, develops a crush on her early on, telling Christy she reminds him of his recently deceased wife, with whom he has sex with in the very first scene (it’s actually just his imagination, but a nice touch anyway).
